Don’t get me wrong, they’re deadly serious if they and their Antifa commie shock troops decide your (black) life doesn’t matter, but black children kill black children daily in places like Chicago, and where are the protests? There’s wailing and calls for gun control on the local media (where the tightest gun laws in the nation didn’t save the kid,) but they only care about black lives when it suits their narrative.
However, I’m darned close to where Tim Pool has gotten with this—you voted for this, people. You voted for people who busted these domestic terrorists out of jail, who encouraged it, who ran off to their Twitter accounts half-cocked with 1% of the relevant information, (“but muh Trump Tweets!!!”) A sitting member of Congress has repeatedly called for violence for YEARS, many years, and she still gets re-elected.
Catholicism is the only reason I can’t say, “To Hell with y’all; live in the Hell you voted for!” Years ago, after 9/11, my then-very-young youngest sister, still a child, asked me about something she’d heard in the news, Evangelicals spouting off that 9/11 was God’s punishment for xyz. I said that the worst punishment God could give us was leaving us to our own devices. Hell is literally the absence of God, God withdrawing His presence from humans and angels who have irrevocably rejected it. I still stand by that, as much as I did in 11th grade when it happened.
Too few listened to Pius XI, and even fewer listened to Paul VI, and look where we are now. I still have to listen to the last half hour, (started listening while driving back home for Holy Week, since I figured I’d ignore Governor-Empress Whitless’ rules as much as she does,) but Milo, as much as I hate to say it, in his latest interview with Patrick Coffin does a solid number on much of American “conservatism” and puts into words, (not always words I’d endorse, mind,) much of my frustration with American “conservatism,” (and, increasingly, the useless MI GOP specifically.) I’m no longer voting for parties and candidates that “compromise,” and if that means I skip an office, so be it. By accepting the tenants of, “I can interpret Scripture,” EVERYTHING else flowed from there, because if anyone can interpret the Bible however he wants, who’s to say he can’t interpret it to be fairy tales? And if THE WORDS OF GOD THE SON about marriage being indissoluble can be interpreted by the individual believer, why should marriage be lifelong? And if marriage isn’t lifelong, why should it be intrinsically tied to procreation? And in that case, who cares if the father is around? The kids will be fiiiiine… (I’m really digging the game, “It Takes Two,” right now because it is giving the lie to that and it is NOT being subtle!) Popes called that all of this would happen, people said they knew better, and now we have people not carrying about a black life almost ended via shanking because caring more about the life of the GIRL ATTEMPTING MURDER is more useful politically, and they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. And, as is the norm now, the GOP continues to be useless. Hand-wringing is not a policy position. If y’all weren’t such trash candidates that people picked third parties and handing Biden the Presidency over you, (something I’m fine with, mind,) maybe you could have held the White House and the Senate, but NOPE!
Just about the only party putting forth candidates I can not-barf at most of the time is the Constitution Party, (mysteriously renamed to the US Taxpayers Party in Michigan,) but even they can’t seem to avoid “truthers,” “birthers,” and anti-vaxx baloney, none of which I approve of at any level. Social conservatives who haven’t gone full-on turning into conspiracy theorists are getting rarer and rarer, and Jack, Zuck, et al, are making that worse. The Libertarian Party stopped being a serious party to me in 2016, and when their 2020 candidate said to bend the knee to Burn, Loot, Murder, I knew that most of those voting her had TDS and were just low-info voters all around, because she was NOT a libertarian on ANY level besides, “YAY, WEED!” because I totally trust politicians that want me to be high. Weed’s totally not Soma, guys! Really! And the people who want you to be able to get higher than a kite or drunker than a skunk, (but ideally both!) during lockdowns totally want a populace that is aware and independent. At least if people talk to each other across the aisle while drunk and/or high, they won’t actually accomplish anything because, “F*ck it,” is the mantra of every pot user I’ve ever had any interaction with. Y’all are your own worse publicity, and the louder you protest, the harder you stomp your feet and whine, the worse you make yourself look. Sound familiar?
This was originally more tied to what was before it, but I’ve put a lot of stuff between that and this. However, I’m hungry, so I’m just going to add this disclaimer and post before popping off to dinner: Exiling people to Parler, Gab, MeWe, Minds, whatever, has made these issues worse because now there are too few of us to “push back” in any effective way, and, going back to my original point, there’s no one to push back against BLM and those domestic terrorists. No one’s going to get de-radicalized, no one’s minds are going to be changed because “conservatives” no longer care about “conserving” what is good, beautiful, or true. It’s all about “MY TRIBE!” Chauvin was never going to get a fair trial from the left, (the jury was compromised almost a year before they even got their summons,) and no person killed by a cop is ever going to get a fair read from the right unless it’s at a Trump Approved (tm) event. It’s amazing for how long Trump’s been out of the Oval and de-platformed, but the cult surrounding him has gone nowhere, RIGHT OR LEFT, and rather than take a stand one way or the other, the GOP’s just keeping their finger in the wind as we head towards midterms and 2024.
*Sigh*
I just wish my Glock would make it to the FLFD while it’s still legal for me to buy it.
